USPS Stamp Encore was a public vote launched in 2025 to select a past stamp pane for reissue in 2026. USPS announced the 2018 Mister Rogers stamp as the winner on May 24, 2026.
Contest timeline
- July 2025: USPS opened voting among 25 previously issued stamp panes.
- September 30, 2025: voting closed.
- May 24, 2026: the winner was revealed at the Boston 2026 World Expo.
- June 1, 2026: nationwide Post Office and Postal Store availability began after the expo period.
The winning stamp
The 2018 Mister Rogers Forever stamp won the contest. USPS reissued the pane and also introduced a four-image souvenir sheet. The original issue honored Fred Rogers and his children’s television work; the winning reissue is not a completely unrelated new subject.
What the vote did and did not decide
The campaign selected one design from the announced candidate list for a USPS reissue. It did not turn fan art into postage, determine the price of every collectible version, or guarantee permanent stock. Current availability must be checked with the seller or USPS.
