How to verify a claimed Pride stamp
Look for an official USPS issue page or Postal Bulletin announcement, then record the exact title, year, format and postage class. A rainbow design or LGBTQ association in a marketplace listing is not by itself proof of an official issue name.
Separate four different groups
- USPS stamps honoring LGBTQ people or related historical subjects
- USPS stamps that use rainbow colors without an official Pride title
- Love-series stamps used for weddings and personal correspondence
- Foreign stamps, decorative seals, labels and fan-made merchandise
Current availability
Some historical issues are no longer sold by USPS even though unused genuine copies may remain valid for postage. Check the exact item against official records, then verify seller, condition, quantity and current stock separately.
