Music-themed stamps are not one USPS series
“Music stamps” is a useful subject grouping, not the name of a single all-inclusive USPS series. For example, USPS issued the Marvin Gaye Forever stamp on April 2, 2019, as part of the Music Icons series. USPS issued the Allen Toussaint Forever stamp on January 30, 2025, as the 48th honoree in the Black Heritage series. By contrast, the official issue tables for Bluegrass, Hip Hop and Mariachi list no series name. This page groups them because their subject is music; it does not relabel them as Music Icons.
