USPS marked its 250th anniversary in 2025 with several distinct stamp issues. The postal-service anniversary issue, 250 Years of Delivering, should not be confused with the separate Army, Navy and Marine Corps 250th-anniversary stamps.

The postal-service anniversary issue

250 Years of Delivering commemorates the creation of the American postal system in 1775. It is a Forever stamp issue for ordinary First-Class Mail use when the mailpiece qualifies; the anniversary subject does not create a separate postage class.

Military 250th-anniversary stamps

USPS also issued stamps recognizing the 250th anniversaries of the U.S. Army, Navy and Marine Corps. These are separate commemorative issues with their own subjects and release records. Identify a stamp by its exact issue name before comparing products or historical information.

  • U.S. Army: a service-anniversary issue, not the postal-service anniversary stamp.
  • U.S. Navy: a distinct naval anniversary issue.
  • U.S. Marine Corps: a separate commemorative release.

How to use this index

Choose the issue first, then confirm the pack quantity and current stock on its product page. Forever status concerns postage value; it does not prove authenticity, current availability or collector value. For mailing, also check the finished envelope’s weight, size and shape.
